    PRESS RELEASE

    By: Leigh McEachran

Wearing a white jump suit, he sings “Burning Love” into the microphone. With his signature thick sideburns and deep voice, he entertains an audience of excited Elvis Presley fans.

With songs like “Jailhouse Rock,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “All Shook Up,” Elvis Presley is a Rock n’ Roll legend. But the man on stage singing “Burning Love” in a white jumpsuit is not Elvis Presley; he is Jay Zanier, an impersonator from Guelph, Ontario.

In the Ultimate Elvis Show, Jay Zanier performs as the king himself, taking audiences through a journey of their favourite songs. On June 6, Zanier will be stopping in Cobourg to perform at Park Playhouse & Performing Arts Centre. And Presley fans of Northumberland will not be disappointed; Zanier is a top Elvis impersonator, crowned the # 1 Ultimate Elvis Grand Champion in Windsor’s 2008 Elvis Festival.

In 2007, Zanier became the Ultimate Elvis Grand Champion in the Collingwood Elvis Festival. This led him to compete in Elvis Presley Enterprises’ first Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest, which was held in Memphis, Tennessee.

Besides earning numerous awards for his Elvis tribute, Jay Zanier has travelled around the world performing. Zanier has performed in North America, France, England, Germany, Scotland, Ireland and Switzerland.

On June 6, Zanier will travel to Cobourg, Ontario, performing at Park Playhouse & Performing Arts Centre. Tickets for the Ultimate Elvis Show are $31. 50. For more information, visit <www.parkplayhouse.ca> or call (905) 377 9595.

So gentlemen, slip on those “Blue Suede Shoes” and take your gal to the Ultimate Elvis Show!
